Josephine Hansom, Research Director
Josephine started her career in market research in 2001 and after seven years at GfK moved to YouthSight in 2013 to head the graduate research team.
With a background in social research, Josephine spent six years managing evaluation projects for central and local government. Specialising in education, she has worked on a number of high profile initiatives e.g. evaluating the introduction of the Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) in Wales and a multi-stage programme of research seeking to identify the motivations and barriers associated with continued learning.
She has also worked with the Home Office, Department of Energy and Climate Change, the Department for Communities and Local Government, Ofsted, Ofcom and OFT. Josephine has also delivered branding insight and directed innovation to many big brands including BMW, Google, Facebook, BT and BBC.
Josephine holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from King’s College London as well as a BSc in Social Psychology from Loughborough University. She is a full member of the Market Research Society. Outside of work Josephine is a member of her local Women’s Institute where she tries to play lawn bowls and discover the history of her neighbourhood.
